Does my child need speech teletherapy?
If your child struggles with speech, language, social skills, or communication, speech teletherapy can help. It provides a convenient and effective way for children to work on these areas from home.
What age is best for speech therapy?
Speech therapy can start as early as birth if concerns are identified. Early intervention, especially around 18 months, is often most effective, particularly when speech delays or issues are noticed. Starting early can lead to the best outcomes for your child’s development.
Is 4 years old too late for speech therapy?
No, 4 years old is not too late for speech therapy. Many children begin therapy at this age and make significant progress. The earlier speech concerns are addressed, the better, but children can benefit from therapy at any age. It’s never too early or too late to start supporting your child’s communication skills.
Is it normal for a 3-year-old to not talk clearly?
It’s common for 3-year-olds to have some speech sounds that aren’t fully clear yet, as they are still developing their speech skills. However, if you're noticing difficulty being understood frequently, or if your child isn’t making progress, it may be helpful to consult a speech-language pathologist for guidance and support.

What is the difference between public & private speech therapy?
Public speech therapy is often provided through schools or community programs, but children may need to meet more restrictive qualification standards to receive services. Sessions are typically in groups with less flexible scheduling. Private speech therapy offers one-on-one sessions with more personalized care, flexible scheduling, and therapy tailored to your child’s specific needs.
How to do speech therapy at home?
With our teletherapy services, your child can receive one-on-one speech therapy sessions from home, using a secure, online platform designed to support learning and progress in speech development. We currently provide speech teletherapy in Oregon and parent coaching services worldwide.
What equipment is needed for speech teletherapy?
All you need is a basic tablet or computer, a quiet space, and motivation. It's best to minimize distractions, especially for children, so we recommend choosing a distraction-free environment and time.
What is speech or language delay?
Speech delay is when a child doesn't develop speech and language skills at the expected age. It may involve difficulty with articulation, understanding, or expressing words and sentences, often caused by factors like hearing loss, developmental disorders, or environmental influences.
What is the most common cause of a speech delay?
The most common cause of speech delay is simply a developmental variation—many children reach language milestones at different times. Often, speech delays resolve on their own as the child grows, but early intervention can be helpful in supporting their progress. If you have concerns, we're here to provide guidance and evaluation.
Does my toddler have speech delay?
Signs of speech delay in toddlers include a small vocabulary, difficulty combining words, trouble following directions, or if you have a hard time understanding them.
How much will speech services cost?
Our session fees for speech therapy start at $95 while a comprehensive speech evaluation is $295. We also offer session packages for a discounted price.
Can you take my insurance?
We offer superbills (a sort of "itemized receipt) that may help you secure reimbursement from your insurance provider for out-of-network costs (depending on your plan).
Do you accept outside speech and language evaluations?
Yes, we accept outside evaluations completed by a licensed speech-language pathologist within the last year. If no recent evaluation is available, we'll conduct one to tailor the best treatment plan before starting sessions.
